Libertarian Election Night Parties Go Statewide in Georgia!

That's right kids, as of now you've three, count 'em, three choices of Election Night Celebration locations to pick from courtesy of the Libertarian Party of Georgia's county affiliates. All of you disaffected and unrepresented sovereign citizens in metro Atlanta can head over the Famous Pub in Toco Hills and attend the "Third Party Throwdown" with Dr. Don and his rowdy crew of direct action specialists. We're expecting visits from Libertarian Brad Ploeger running for the District 3 Public Service Commission seat as well as Libertarian David Staples running for the District 5 Public Service Commission seat.

Those of you over towards the 'Bama line can attend the Libertarian Party of Douglas County's election night soiree at Oz Pizza in Douglasville and cheer our statewide candidates onto victory without a horrendous driving experience. Think local, vote local, be Libertarian.

All y'all in Augusta can drop in on Central Savannah River Area (CSRA)/Augusta affiliate's election night shenanigans with Taylor "Bender" Bryant and his gang of Liberty Lovers at the RoadRunner Cafe. Be advised, Karaoke is rampant in this affiliate, prepare accordingly.

No matter which event you attend you can be sure that the discussion will be lively, strongly opinionated and open to all. So you can waste your time at your local democrat election night event where there will nothing but depression or you can waste your time at your local republican event where there will be nothing but gloating or you can have a great time breathing the heady fumes of Liberty with us Libertarians.

No brainer, really.

Split Screen Miracle! Libertarian Gary Johnson Wins Presidential Debate!

You gotta love technology.

This is what the last debate should have looked like. All three Presidential  contenders on stage presenting their viewpoints and policy positions on matters of foreign affairs so that the electorate could make an informed decision about the direction this nation should pursue.

Remember Georgians, Romney's gonna roll up our fair state like a rug so you can vote your conscience without bein' all skeered that Obama will have another crack at the top temp job on the planet.

Vote Libertarian Gary Johnson for President!

20% or bust!

Gary Johnson Video: Cast a Vote for Peace

I know it's repetitive, but Gary Johnson's stuff just keeps getting better and better.

So here's the dealio, we ALL know that Mittens is gonna win here in Georgia and I suspect a Reaganesque Landslide will sweep him to victory nationwide. So consider this for a minute, if you're a third party type and are marooned along with the rest us of non-conformist, sovereign citizens with no hope for political representation from either the republicans or democrats, you might just want to participate in an experiment for Liberty.

You can do that by casting your vote for Gary Johnson for President here in Georgia. There's magic in the land and that magic is best expressed by Gary Johnson rackin' up as many votes as is possible. 785,000 votes has a nice ring to it.

That's about 20% of the voting population here in the Peach State and that is a magic number.

20% or bust!

Third Party Throwdown November 6 at the Famous Pub

Yes, it's true.

The Dekalb LP has one more shindig up it's sleeves as this election cycle grinds to a close. If you're not a fan of stuffy republican victory laps and not particularly attracted to to the prospect of hanging around in a room full of disappointed democrats you might consider DeKalb LP's "Third Party Throwdown" on election night. Since we've got twice as many statewide candidates running this cycle as the Georgia Democrat Party, we've got twice as many opportunities to make waves and influence public debate. And there's an outside shot that we might win one of our races!

Seen the light about Gary Johnson? So have we!

Ron Paul Supporter? Come on down, we love Dr Paul.

Jill Stein Supporter? Come on down but don't hand us any crap that she beat Gary Johnson in the debate.

Virgil Goode is your guy? Come on down, We want to meet you.

Rocky Anderson your pick? What's not to like about a guy named Rocky?

Discussion and admission are free. Since this is a TANSTAAFL type affair, you're in charge of your own drinks and noshibles from the huge variety available at the Famous Pub.

Plenty o' parking, conveniently located and world away from the politics of the two party duopoly!

Third Party Throwdown!

Be There!

Gary Johnson Video: Be the 5%

5% works in most states, just not here in Georgia. Thanks to our deplorable ballot access laws, Georgia requires a 20% turn out nationwide for the Georgia LP to transition from Political Body to full fledged Political Party as a result of a Presidential election.

Looks like the 2014 Governors race is our next best bet for equality in Georgia but since this is a red state and since Mittens is gonna win here, why not vote for Gary?

20% or bust!

Fresh Demo AgiProp for the PSC District 3 Race

I don't think the guy in this video is actually Incumbent PSC District 3 Commissioner Chuck Eaton, but shave a few years and a few pounds off the Chuck Eaton I saw at the Atlanta Press Club Debate last Sunday and well, maybe.

This little bit o' vid comes to us courtesy of YouTube and some cat who goes by the handle of GAJournalist. He's got solid cred as a democrat activist and has 62 other jewels up on his YouTube channel. There are some startling numbers cited in this viddy like 226 missed days at work, 10 rate increases granted to Georgia Power and a six figure salary.

That salary sounds like a lot but it's about $123KPY. You can make that kind of money running a QT, not so many days off though.

Please remember that over here in LibertyLand,  there is no difference between a rent seeking republican and a dependency inducing democrat. Same coin, different faces.

So when you step into the voting booth on November 6, do the smart thing, Vote for Libertarian Brad Ploeger for PSC District 3.

Libertarian Brad Ploeger Wins the Atlanta Press Club PSC Debate!

No doubt about it, Libertarian Brad Ploeger is the hands down winner of the Atlanta Press Club PSC District 3 debate.

Shaky, Blurry, Rather Dark Video from the DeKalb LP PSC District 3 Debate

Libertarian Brad Ploeger weighs in at last weeks DeKalb LP PSC District 3 debate. If our politicians in Georgia followed his example, this state would not be 49th in almost everything.

News Flash! Libertarian Gary Johnson Wins Second Presidential Debate

Betcha Rockin' Barry O's rethinking that whole don't let a Libertarian in the debate exclusion thing.

There's nothing like the smell of palatable fear that emanates from the established two party system than the thought that Americans might like more that two choices off the menu. The republicans and democrats spend 99% of their time trying to reduce that choice by an order of magnitude to 1 and their heads would positively explode if the the number went as high as 3.

I am declaring Libertarian Gary Johnson the winner of tonight's Presidential  debate for the following reasons:

1. He's a Libertarian

2. He's not a republican

3. He's not a democrat.

That covers the really important stuff. The really important stuff for the citizens of Georgia to do is to vote for Gary Johnson for President come election day. I'm not talking about all Georgians, I'm only talking to the top 20% of the residents of the Peach State. The smart ones.

Consider it a dry run for the 2014 election for Governor.

20% or Bust!

Libertarian Brad Ploeger in the News!

Earned Media, Baby, Earned Media.

Looks like the dam broke over the weekend and coverage of the PSC races here in Georgia are finally getting some attention from the media crowd here in the ATL. I personally heard Brad Ploeger's name mentioned today on AM750 WSB during one of the afternoon news breaks and there is a plethora of news articles around the state doling out bits of the skinny on the state of the race.

The bestest ones are by intrepid reporter Walter C. Jones as he has paid the most attention to the PSC campaigns thus far. Check out his piece down to the Savannah Morning News that went up this morning, the last line quote for Brad is a winner. Then skip over to the Atlanta Progressive News for a totally different kind of article with a lengthy analysis and explanation of the progressive mind set as it relates to the PSC.

After you digest all that, get get back in the saddle and toss some comments out there. You don't have to be Shakespeare eloquent or H.L. Menken terse but it would be nice to let your voice be heard, kinda like being part of the political process instead of just watching from the sidelines.

Then vote for Libertarian Brad Ploeger for Georgia PSC District 3!

Libertarian vs. Democrat vs Empty Chair (otherwise known as the DeKalb LP PSC District 3 debate)

The setup is done, the preliminary sound check is complete and the backroom of the Famous Pub is ready for another DeKalb LP sponsored debate.

Libertarian Brad Ploeger will be there as will Democrat Steve Oppenheimer. Like Francisco Franco, sitting Commissioner Chuck Eaton is still dead. Strike that, Eaton has yet to acknowledge our invitations.
No problem, we have an appropriately empty chair set up for him. The readership is encouraged to attend and see and hear the differences of opinion from the two challengers in this years PSC District 3 race live and in person. There's not a bad seat in the house and the Famous Pub will be happy to fulfill your orders for tasty grub or adult beverages.

If things go smoothly we should have about 30 minutes available for audience questions for Mr. Ploeger and Mr. Oppenheimer so spend some time thinking about what you would ask your Public Service Commissioner if you had the opportunity.

Since Commissioner Eaton won't be there, you can ask his chair.

Narrate Game of Thrones? Sure, why not....

I'll do anything for my daughters, even read a book in small doses. Lots of small doses as this is a rather large book.

Debate-a-Palooza this Tuesday At The Famous Pub

The smart people will be there.

Libertarian Brad Ploeger and Democrat Steve Oppenheimer qualify in that regard, Incumbent Republican Commissioner Chuck Eaton not so much. The assumption that nobody in the room is gonna vote for him is not justification for failing to show up, we are still his constituents and he serves us. Not the other way around.

That's why the room isn't a cavern but a rather intimate setting that guarantees the attendees will be able to see the whites of our candidates eyes as they respond to the questions posed by the moderator. If you'd like to attend feel free to do so but a hint of your intention to participate would be appreciated. Or not.

The question has arisen about live streaming video of the event as it transpires. The DeKalb LP will be shooting flipcam video during the course of the debate and that will show up post debate over at the Bludgeon & Skewer YouTube channel. If you'd like to use your smart phone to send stuff out live, by all means feel free but be mindful of not blocking anybody else's view.

This will be the only time that DeKalbians and Decaturites will have a chance to see and hear both of the candidates looking to take Commissioner  Eatons job. Don't miss out, come on down and do some local, live politics.

Libertarian Gary Johnson Wins First Presidential debate

And he wasn't even there.

I realize now that I did not waste my time tonight, I watched "Wheeler Dealers" rebuild a Merc G-Wagon and gained valuable information should I ever in fact own one, as opposed to watching Twiddle Dee and Twiddle Dum get hectored by some fossil named Lehrer.

It was pretty damn dull TV as I flipped over during commercial breaks to check things out and counted the seconds until I could go back to watching something of value. Sad really, when you think about it if these two guys are the best we got, who the hell is doin' the pickin'?

The same folks that said Gary Johnson wasn't a "serious" candidate even though he's for sure on 47 state ballots out of 50. The guys and gals that own "The Presidential Debates". Republicans and Democrats.

I'll go out on a limb here and predict that the next debate will see astronomically lower viewership numbers than episode one 'cause episode one sucked.

Bottom line, vote for Libertarian Gary Johnson for President!

Republican Stan Wise isn't the Only PSC Commissoner Ducking Debates

Republican Chuck Eaton ducks pretty well too.

The Libertarian Party of DeKalb County District 3 PSC debate happens next Tuesday on the 9th of October and still no communication from his campaign.  The citizens and denizens of District 3 will be able to hear from the other candidates in the race, Libertarian Brad Ploeger and Democrat Steve Oppenheimer. They think enough of the people they're seeking to represent to actually show up in a public venue and answer questions and such.

It is interesting that Chuck will appear at the Atlanta Press Club debates later this month, but hey there's a world of difference between a 30 minute televised debate in a studio with shiny lights and make up and stuff and stepping up to the mike and holding your own at a Libertarian sponsored debate.

As there's still 6 days left, maybe the Chuckster will see the error of his ways and decide to participate. We'd love to have him there along with Brad and Steve to provide all three viewpoints on the state of affairs down to the Public Service Commission.

Presidential Crowd Surfing?

You'll never see stuff like this from our brothers and sisters over in the RepublicanLand or DemocratLand.

Just. Can't. Happen.

You will find it in LibertyLand and the proof is sittin' right in front of you. Ponder that while you watch the other guy's debate tonight. I doubt you'll see either Mittens or Rockin' Barry O take a dive off the stage, I doubt they'll even think about it.
