Libertarian John Monds Keeps His Cool at the Governors Debate Last Night

Only 20 shopping days until the election Folks.

Libertarian Candidate for Governor John Monds kept his cool at last nights Governors debate at the Temple in Atlanta. Natch, 95% of the coverage focused on Roy Barnes and Nathan Deal accusing each other of doing less than good stuff over the length and breadth of their political careers but John did get quoted on education.

Quote:

After the fireworks, Monds was the most fervent supporter of school choice and said he would offer tax credits of up to $4,000 for parents to pay for private school tuition or to home school their children.
"Absolutely we need choice," Monds said. "And most of all we need competition. Look at education as a marketplace. We have a monopoly on funding and the ability to offer alternatives for people who live in rural communities, for example."
