Yet another Libertarian has heard the call and decided to join the fray for 2010! Libertarian Will Costa has announced his intention to run for Georgia Labor Commissioner this Fall. The newest Libertarian candidate faces off against a smaller field of hopefuls than the uber crowded Insurance Commissioner race but still has his work cut out for him.
Incumbent democrat Micheal Thurmond is the current front runner with $45,000 in the old campaign kitty as of 31 DEC 09. The really odd part is that he blew through $645,000 as of the end of the reporting period. Vegas Trip?
Republican Melvin Everson has been working the ropes since may 0f 2009 and has stashed $22,000 in the war chest.
So Will faces one democrat incumbent and one republican challenger in the fall as of today.
